Join us for the MATTOX Reunion in Homerville, Georgia this year on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the historic Train Depot!

We will be honoring the descendants of HELEN MAR MATTOX

(the sister of Dr. Homer Mattox)

10:00am -Check-in. Browse the family history exhibits, talk to your favorite Mattox, or join in with the ice cream churning!

11:15- We will have a Family Business Meeting for all and then be entertained by some of our talented relatives!

12:00- Lunch. We will buy the chicken from Jimbos. Locals are asked to bring their side dishes (vegetable, salad and/or dessert) and out of town relatives may choose to help out with a monetary donation at the door instead of bringing food.

All donations to help with the rental of the train depot, paper goods, drinks, and mailings/postage will be greatly appreciated!

After lunch, for your entertainment, we will listen to live music from the James Family band. Then, get ready for the delicious taste of homemade ice cream! Enjoy a self-guided tour of the Homerville area.

Bring your whole family of all ages! Renew your roots and discover new branches on your family tree. Hope to see you there!

JUST A REMINDER!!!
The Mattox Reunion will not be held in June anymore.
It will be the 3rd Saturday in October- October 15, 2011in Homerville, Georgia. More details to follow.....

Thanks to all of you, the last reunion was a huge success! The food was delicious, the music fabulous, and all the relatives a pleasure to meet and greet! Let's make the one this October just as wonderful- get the word out to your relatives!

MATTOX REUNION- SATURDAY, OCTOBER 16

CHOO-CHOO! Come to the Train Depot in Homerville, Georgia this year on Saturday, October 16, 2010 for the Mattox Reunion- fun for all!

We will be honoring the descendants of Dr. Homer Mattox as this is the 150th anniversary of the founding of Homerville, Georgia.

10:00am- Check in. Browse the family history exhibits- talk to your favorite Mattox, or meander along the covered outdoor porch-- enjoy the kids corner with fun activities. A photographer will be set up to have your family picture taken for the Mattox Family Archives.

11:15- We will have a Family Business Meeting for all and then by entertained by singing from one of our own!

12:00- Lunch. We will buy the meat from Jimbos. Locals are asked to bring a side dish (vegetable, salad and/or dessert) and out of town relatives may choose to help out with a monetary donation at the door (for the meat).

After lunch, for your entertainment, we will have readings and skits (from our relatives' lives), and live music from the James Family Band. Then get ready for the delicious taste of homemade ice cream! Enjoy a self-guided tour of the Homerville area. Dr. Homer Mattox's house will be open from 1:30-3:00 for visitors with lots of interesting spots along the way!

The Mattox Reunion that is usually held the last Saturday in June will now be held the third Saturday in October- OCTOBER 16!
This change was voted upon at the last reunion to begin October 2010.
